Whole Body Cryotherapy

Experience a boost in metabolism and a reduction of inflammation and pain. Most people feel energized after the session and sleep better for a few nights!

Exposure to the sub zero temperatures triggers the release of anti-inflammatory proteins and endorphins. Oxygen circulation is increased within the bloodstream due to vasoconstriction and vasodilation. (Visit our Research page.)

Professional athletes have been using cryotherapy for years to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and recover faster. But you don't have to be an athlete to experience the benefits!

Conditions that May Benefit from Cryotherapy

  • Rheumatic diseases (arthritis)

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Acute and chronic pain

  • Skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis)

  • Migraine headaches

  • Limited range of motion from sprains, strains, overused muscles, etc.

  • Muscle fatigue from exercise

  • Mild (controlled) asthma

  • Osteoporosis

How Does a Session Work?

After we review the contraindications and you sign a waiver, we take you to a changing room where you remove all of your clothing except for underwear. (Women should not wear a bra that has metal in it, so we recommend a wireless sports bra or cami. We have camis available to borrow.)  You must remove or cover all metal jewelry and piercings from the neck down. (Metal inside of your body from surgeries, etc. is OK.) You must wear a clean dry pair of socks that cover your lower leg (calf-high or knee high). We provide dry socks and shorts if needed as well as protective clogs and a robe. Your skin must be completely dry...no recent shower or application of lotion. It is also recommended that you do not shave or wax your legs on the same day as your skin will be more sensitive.

When you enter the Juka sauna, a technician raises the floor lift so your head is above the nitrogen level. You are then asked to remove your robe and hand it over the top to your technician, who will then hand you mittens for your hands.

Our sauna opens with just a slight push as the latch is just a magnet. Your head is in no way constricted with a lid or a sleeve. You are completely free to dance around! Bring your favorite inspirational song to sync with our speaker to make the treatment time more fun! After the appropriate time for you (1.5-3 minutes), a technician will hand your robe back to you and escort you out of the sauna.

Ask your doctor if you are unsure as to whether cryotherapy is safe for you.

The JUKA Cryosauna is the most recognized and trusted product on the market, used globally by more medical professionals and professional athletes than any other device. Our unit is the only UL listed sauna on the market with extensive safety features.

Juka has more dedicated safety protocols than any other cryosauna, including a built in O2 sensor adjacent to the client's head which automatically shuts off the nitrogen supply, and a door shutoff switch to ensure that nitrogen does not escape the sauna. It features an electric lift that positions clients safely above the cryotherapy environment.

Juka has the unique distinction of being the only cryosauna listed as a Class III Medical Device in the EU.

Safety Instructions for Whole Body Cryotherapy

  • You MUST wear dry calf-high or knee-high socks (and dry underwear for men) to avoid frostbite. We provide you with dry socks or shorts if you forget yours.

  • You should remove or cover all metal jewelry and piercings from the chin down. Bras should not have any metal in them. We recommend a metal free sports bra or camisole for women, but women may also enter the sauna topless (you will not be exposed). Metal inside of your body, such as from surgeries, is OK.

  • Treatments are limited to 3 minutes per session. (Overexposure to the cold temperatures may cause frostbite, so we follow all safety protocols to prevent this.)

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy is a simple, non-invasive treatment that delivers concentrated natural light to your skin and cells. Sessions are quick and simple: you just sit or stand in healthy light for 5 to 10 minutes. Experience Head to Toe full body rejuvenation.

Enhance your health with FDA Class II red light and infrared light therapy from Joovv. From wound recovery to weight loss, red light therapy provides proven benefits.

Natural red light powers your cells. Our light therapy device delivers red & near infrared wavelengths directly to your body with medical-grade LEDs. These photons of natural, therapeutic light produce a chemical reaction in the mitochondria of your cells that boosts energy production and regeneration. The two primary effects are:

More ATP Energy: Light therapy reduces oxidative stress and increases adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. ATP, produced through cellular respiration, is a crucial molecule required by all living things to make usable energy for your body. It’s often called “the energy currency of life.”

Enhanced Cell Signaling: Specific wavelengths of light help to create a better oxidative environment in your cells. This results in the activation of numerous intracellular signaling pathways, increased protein synthesis, enzyme activation, and enhanced cell cycle progression.

Following are general protocols to give you a general idea of how often you need to do red light therapy to see lasting results.

Precision Cryo

Precision Cryotherapy

Our precision cryotherapy unit creates a stream of nitrogen vapor that gently cools tissue more effectively and safely than ice. Although the vapor temperature is as low as -250°F, it is a comfortable, soothing treatment.

After only 5 to 10 minutes of treatment, experience reduced pain, inflammation, and swelling (the benefit of vasoconstriction). Then appreciate the rejuvenation that occurs when oxygenated blood returns to the area to promote healing (vasodilation).

Our state-of-the-art unit is equipped with high-tech safety features, such as skin temperature sensors, that ensure that you experience all of the benefits of cryotherapy without risk.

Virtually anyone with a pain or chronic condition can benefit from cryotherapy. From sports injuries to arthritis to migraines, cryotherapy provides relief.

Cryotherapy also encourages Skin Rejuvenation (click here to learn more about our Precision CryoFacials).

Dynamic Compression

Reduce swelling, improve circulation, and speed recovery time with the NormaTec PULSE Recovery System with patented Pulse technology.

Professional athletes use NormaTec to recover faster between trainings and after performance, but you do not need to be an athlete to experience the benefits!

People who experience leg fatigue and swelling also benefit from this system. Compression improves circulation for people of all ages!

Our system includes a control unit and attachments which go on the legs, arms, or hips. They use compressed air to massage your limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery.

When you use NormaTec, you will first experience a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments are molded to your exact body shape. The session will then begin by compressing your feet, hands, or upper quad (depending on which attachment you are using).

Similar to the kneading and stroking done during a massage, each segment of the attachment will first compress in a pulsing manner and then release. This will repeat for each segment of the attachment as the compression pattern works its way up your limb.

Relax in our anti-gravity chairs! We will bring you a hot pack and a blanket so you can enjoy a luxurious nap. We will even make you a cup of herbal tea. Bring a friend and catch up!

Sessions last about 20 minutes.

Therapeutic Massage

Our licensed massage therapists are trained specifically to deal with sports related injuries and other chronic injury issues.

One of the primary advantages of massage is its ability to reduce pain by targeting tight muscles and promoting relaxation. Imagine those knots and tension melting away as our skilled therapists employ techniques like effleurage and deep tissue massage. Not only does this help release endorphins, your body's natural painkillers, but it also improves blood circulation to the affected area. By doing so, massage helps to move metabolic waste, reduce inflammation, and decrease swelling, allowing your body to heal more efficiently.

By focusing on specific areas, we can enhance joint mobility, increase range of motion, and break down scar tissue. These actions promote proper alignment of muscle fibers and improve tissue elasticity, reducing the risk of re-injury. Plus, our personalized treatments address muscle imbalances, helping you achieve better posture, biomechanics, and overall performance.

The benefits of Sports Massage go beyond physical healing. The relaxation and stress reduction it offers can have a profound impact on managing pain and facilitating recovery. Not only will you enjoy improved sleep, but you'll also experience a reduction in anxiety and depression. Our therapists create a safe and nurturing environment, providing emotional support throughout your healing journey.

Abdominal Therapy

Abdominal Therapy is the gentle manipulation of the muscles, ligaments and fascia (connective tissue) in the abdomen, pelvis and low back. Trauma to the abdomen such as surgery, chronic inflammatory conditions, childbirth and accidents can cause scar tissue, adhesions, muscular tension, and the displacement of organs.

The goal of this therapy is to release tension, increase circulation, reduce congestion, and ensure optimal positioning of the organs in the abdomen.

What conditions does this therapy benefit?

  • Digestive disorders such as GERD, acid reflux, constipation, diverticulitis, and irritable bowel syndrome.

  • Kidney and urinary issues such as kidney stones, incontinence, and   interstitial cystitis.

You should not work out intensely before or after the session. Arrive well rested and plan to rest after the session as well. Self care is part of this treatment.

What can I expect?

Some people feel tender after this therapy, but that passes with rest and self care. During our time together, you will learn more about your anatomy and the nature of your condition. I will provide you with educational tools and other forms of support. You will be empowered develop awareness to heal.
